My experience in the Peacecamp in Lackenhof 2014
The Peacecamp is one the wisest decisions, I made this year and I am sure that I will not forget the experiences, which I gained there. In every aspect I learnt a lot of things, like facts and the background-story of the Middle-East-Conflict, things about myself, about people in general, teamwork and about human being. It was not always easy, for example when we were talking about the military in Israel many strong feelings came up and it was difficult to handle the situation for almost everybody, I guess. But that’s part of the work, we had to do there. Like Evelyn said “The Peacecamp is not a holiday camp, it’s a hard work.”, but I have never had so much fun at a "hard work" camp. I met so many smart, interesting and astonishing people there, I experienced so much and I dared to show the world a little bit more about me. I spent a wonderful time in this little village in Down-Austria and I recommend this Camp to everybody, who is interested in talks about peace or politics or who just wants to meet interesting people and to learn things about different cultures.
