Hello everybody. I am a friend of Evelyn and Ronnie, I admire their concept of inspiring and encouraging youngsters to develop their ideas of a better and more peaceful future. I joined the peacecamp team last year, and I was quite impressed by what was going on between the Israeli, Palestinian, Hungarian and Austrian youngsters, during discussions, games and performances. I am wondering how it will be this year?
As a teacher of science, maths and politics I always tried to support my students in their efforts for a better understanding of the world we live in, and for contributing to make it a better world, more democratic, more just and equitable, more peaceful.
Now I work at a university in educational research and teacher training. I think society should enable everybody to develop his or her talents and live without fear and in peace. It is frustrating for me to see so many political conflicts that make people suffer but could be solved with a bit of good will and ingenuity, especially in the Middle East, but also in Eastern Europe. I am critical of both Israeli and Palestinian politics. (I am also critical of Hungarian and Austrian politics.)
I am married and have no kids. I am Jewish and not religious. My passion is listening to music, reading literature and travelling, meeting people and getting to know and understand different cultures, outlooks and perspectives ….
And I am looking forward to this year’s peacecamp in Lackenhof!

Atheer - "A Rebellious" young Palestinian lady from Israel
What motivates me is meeting new people, experience new things, learn about new cultures and just live a different life whenever it's possible. I am very challenged by changes, I like extreme experiences. Living moderately is good, but I believe it's better to be able to change. Change has many meanings and faces. I am exploring new kinds of change, and trying them on my own self.
Atheer will be an assistant and have a number of functions not yet defined
on peacecamp 2014.
